Hyundai to increase production at Montgomery plant in Feb.

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama produced 18,441 vehicles in January, including 3,920 for export.The plant ramped up production of the 2011 Sonata to 10,022 units, including 901 for export to Canada.  Read more.


Change of mind?: Hyundai introduces incentives in response to Toyota's recalls

Current Toyota owners thinking of buying a car this weekend have a new incentive from Hyundai: $1,000 in cash back on top of other current incentives. It’s good on only three models — the 2009-2010 Elantra, Elantra Touring and Sonata. This matches a similar incentive GM launched earlier this week and runs through Monday but may be extended.  Read more.


Hyundai Profit Increases Nearly Fourfold

Hyundai Motor, the biggest South Korean auto maker, said Thursday that its quarterly profit had almost quadrupled as its small cars proved popular with recession-weary buyers. Read more.


Hyundai Sonata Gets Listed in ACEEE’s “Green Choices 2010”

Though batteries become more and more popular, most of us drive a gasoline powered car and will probably buy a gasoline powered car next time we’re in the market for a new vehicle.
